Open enough capsules and you will meet the same character twice. That is not bad luck, it is how blind capsules work, and it is also the start of the best part of collecting: the swap.
Why doubles happen
Capsules are sealed and mixed at random, and the packaging gives nothing away. With twelve characters in a series, the odds of a repeat climb quickly after the first five or six capsules. A 12-capsule box does not promise one of each either: it simply gives you twelve chances at once.
Five swap-table manners
- Trade like for like. A regular for a regular feels fair to everyone; rare chase figures are their own conversation.
- Keep spares clean. A cuff that still looks fresh trades faster.
- Show the whole list. Bring a note of what you still need so others can check their pockets.
- Grown-ups, step back. Let kids make their own deals; it is half the fun.
- Gift the leftovers. A spare Stitch makes someone's day at school.
Single capsules or a full box?
Singles
Best for one small surprise, stocking stuffers and rewards. Easy to stop when you have your favourite.
12-capsule boxes
Best for parties, class treat bags and families who open together. Expect a few doubles and plan to trade them.

When you are still missing one
Ask around before buying more capsules: someone nearby often has exactly the double you need. And if the series is still hiding a favourite, the next capsule might be the one.
